My firsth North Indian classical music concert in Ljubljana
After more than three years living here in Slovenia, I can finally invite you to a concert in which I’ll be playing the music I love most. Hope to see you all there!
Lasanthi Manaranjanie Kalinga Dona (violin) is a musician and ethnomusicologist from Sri Lanka. She is in Ljubljana continuing the PhD studies she started in China some years ago, while being at the same time a guest lecturer in Ethnomusicology at the Department of Musicology of the Faculty of Arts of the University of Ljubljana.
Her master (guru) is the Indian violinist and singer Dr. Venkataramanujam Balaji.
Carlos Yoder (tabla) is a musician from Argentina who is living in Slovenia since 2005. He studied piano at the Conservatorio Nacional de Música Carlos López Buchardo of Buenos Aires and in 1999 started his studies of Indian classical music under the tutelage of Rasikananda Das.
He gave concerts all over Argentina, led workshops in Indian classical music and recorded a number of CDs.
