Praznik muzejev bomo popestrili s koncertom severnoindijske klasične glasbe.

Vljudno Vas vabimo na

Recital severnoindijske klasične glasbe

v soboto, 21. junija ob 20. uri
v Slovenski etnografski muzej
na Metelkovo 2, v Ljubljani
(ploščad pred razstavno hišo)

Recital je sestavljen iz dveh delov. Prvi sodi v domeno klasične in drugi v domeno semi-klasične glasbe. Glasbenika bosta v prvem delu predstavila izbrano večerno rago (melodični modus, ki ustvarja čustveno vzdušje in blagodejno vpliva na človeško zavest) in Tin Tal (ritmični cikel, ki ga sestavlja 16 dob). Izvedba bo potekala v srednjem tempu (madhya laya) in hitrem tempu (drut laya).

Carlos & Lasanthi live in Hostel Celica April 29th, 2008

Last night we had our first concert of Indian classical music with Lasanthi, the violinist from Sri Lanka who is living in Slovenia for some time now.

We played for an hour at the Celica Hostel, and even though we had very little time for promotion, the place was packed. We had a nice vibe going, and the audience seemed to like it a lot.

We first interpreted the raga Bageshri, followed by a semiclassical piece set to the raga Mishra Bhairavi.

This concert was very important for me, since it was the first in Slovenia where I performed on my instrument (the tabla), my music (Indian classical), and in my style. I mean to say that the concert was set in the way I enjoy the best, so naturally I had a wonderful time. Again, the audience shared in the feeling.

The future looks very bright, my friends! Don’t forget to wear your sunglasses!
